We welcome you to visit our picturesque school in the hills, where we are surrounded by shady trees and sleepy koalas. Our students thrive in a small school environment where everyone feels like family and we achieve great things together – because Small is Great!
While our students enjoy our large learning spaces, both indoors and out, they also have opportunities to connect with other local schools to experience wider Adelaide Hills community events and celebrations.
Norton Summit Primary School specialises in providing Spanish and Science as focus subjects and together with our school community, embrace the opportunity to bring all of our students together through the Friendology Program which enhances our students social and emotional skills and understandings.

Our Story
Small is Great
Welcome to our beautiful, picturesque school of excellence situated on the top of a hill with panoramic views of the city of Adelaide and surrounding hills. We have trees with koalas, shady playgrounds, sloping paths, a lush oval and natural play areas aplenty. We focus on whole school R-6 learning programs and a high degree of parent participation which continue to create a spirit of community very much treasured by all. Students enjoy the benefits of our small, semi-rural school with small class sizes, personalised learning and wonderful spirit of community coupled with proximity to the city and students having opportunities to access a full range of activities and events. Our core values of excellence, respect, care and trust underpin everything we do and we look forward to sharing our spirit of community with you.

What We Offer
Curriculum
Teachers will be planning, teaching, assessing and reporting using both the South Australian Curriculum Standards and Accountability (SACSA) framework and the Australian Curriculum. Currently we structure our curriculum over 8 Learning Areas.
